THE CABIN KIDS

Ruth, Helen, James, Winifred, and Fred, collectively known as "The Cabin Kids" appeared on the stage of the Ritz Theater in Dublin on December 5, 1939.  These five children of Beatrice Hall appeared more than twenty movies and  short films in the brief career with Hollywood's biggest stars including  Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, Roy Rogers, Buster Keaton, Shirley Temple and Danny Kaye.

They were known and loved for the singing and comedy skits.

Ruben is my younger brother and we have searched for years for photographs and newspaper articles about The Cabin Kids. Ruth, our mother, was the last surviving member of the group. Ruth (Sweetie) is survived by three of her four children. Our mom and dad had recording made by the Hall Sisters, the group formed by the three girls after they out grew the Cabin Kids.

Winifred was the sweetest little girl I have ever seen. Love how she put her arm around little brother in Dinah. RIP all & I wish they all had wonderful lives.

God Bless them and their families.

Marquis, thank you for sharing info on your grandmother. I'm sorry to learn of your mom's passing last year. I too know what that feels like. Your love for your mom is nicely expressed with your words! Can you tell me how long ago your grandmother passed away? And, what fond memories you have of her? Thank you! - Jim Padilla

Unfortunately, my grandmother passed away when my mother was just 15 years old. She became an alcoholic and died of hypoglycemia. I never got a chance to meet her.
